I am a board certified Internist and have practiced in the Portland Metropolitan area since 1995.  I am the sole practitioner here at West Linn Primary Care, so you will get to see the same doctor each time you come in. By getting to know each patient and their unique qualities, I can provide you with the best professional and personalized medical care possible.

I continue to maintain clinical privileges at local hospitals such as Providence Willamette Falls Hospital, Legacy Meridian Park Hospital.  I firmly believe that clinic and hospital practice compliment each other and should go hand in hand. It has always been my philosophy to provide patients with the most up-to-date, evidence-based medical knowledge available. This practice style allows me to do that and gives me great professional satisfaction.

Despite a busy schedule, I balance my time well between work, family, and extra-curricular activities. I enjoy spending time with my  family.  Activities that I enjoy include golf, tennis, swimming, skiing, and cooking. I enjoy the cultural diversity, ethnic foods, and beautiful scenery that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

I look forward to having an enduring doctor-patient relationship with you.

WELCOME!

Carissa Haines, Lead Medical Assistant

Carissa just celebrated her thirteen year anniversary with us! She is highly regarded by everyone in the office for her hard work and dedication to her job. She has a personable and caring relationship with all of the patients and shows the utmost respect and professionalism when interacting with them. Sometimes a bright smile and friendly voice is all someone needs to help them feel better.

Carissa completed the highest level program available for medical assistants. This program breeds a higher class of MAs, which shows in her stellar work performance, proficient skill level, and extensive knowledge base. Carissa may be

returning to school to study ultrasound. We would be devastated to lose her, but encourage continuing education and support accomplishing career goals.

Carissa is married to a great guy who's about as mellow and easygoing as she is, probably more so if that's even possible ;) They have one practice child together, their yellow lab, better known as "Captain Chuck." In their free time they enjoy camping, concerts, spending time with friends, and making something called a traduckin! Huh?! While her husband is smitten on alternative music, Carissa's current obsessions are Jack White, Lana Del Rey, and Glass Animals. Last concert? "Vance Joy at the Roseland." You can't get more hip then that!

When asked what she likes most about working at West Linn Primary Care and Elite Cosmetics, Carissa responded, "I enjoy how well we get to know our patients. By being a small office staff you get the benefit of not only getting to know all of your patients well, but also getting to know their family and hearing about their life story."

Dr. Meeker's Education and Work Experience...
I am a board-certified Nurse Practitioner and have practiced nursing since 1996. I am a native Bostonian transplanted to the west coast in 1997 via the U.S. Army. I completed a six-year service obligation in the Military Police Corps.

I was fortunate to meet many of you during my clinical rotations over the last year as I completed my Master's in Nursing which resulted in obtaining my ability to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

I am excited to be joining Dr. Meeker & Carissa here at West Linn Primary Care and to be able to continue seeing some familiar faces as I embark on my practice as a Nurse Practitioner!

I enjoy getting to know my patients and learning what keeps you going and how I can best assist you with that. I provide tailored care while using current, evidenced-based data to best address whatever medical issues you have.

In my down time, I refill my bucket with activities such as cooking, skiing, snowshoeing, traveling and spending time doing car club activities with my vintage 1979 VW Super Bug named Bertha Bea (you may see her parked outside the clinic from time to time!).

I look forward to providing individualized care to my patients by acknowledging each person’s unique situation and background. I will spend time with you to understand, educate and provide high quality care.
